SAL Exceeds Global Standards, Awarded the IATA CBTA Best Center Performance Award for 2026

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, March 2026 – SAL Logistics Services, a national leader in cargo handling, logistics solutions, and supply chain management in the Kingdom, has been officially recognized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) with the 2026 IATA Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) Center Best Performance Award. This prestigious global distinction is awarded to CBTA Centers that demonstrate exceptional performance in delivering high-quality competency-based Dangerous Goods training.

The recognition follows SAL Academy’s outstanding results in 2025, including a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 89.69, significantly above global averages, and a 63 percent participation rate in the IATA CBTA Center Training Satisfaction Survey.

Commenting on this, Mr. Saleh Aldaini, Chief Shared Services Officer at SAL, said:
“This global recognition from IATA shows the strength of our training framework, the professionalism of our instructors, and our commitment to aviation safety excellence. It confirms that our programs are compliant with global standards and are truly valued by participants. We remain committed to advancing safety, capability development, and operational excellence in support of the aviation sector and Saudi Arabia’s Vision" 2030.

On his part, Frederic Leger, SVP IATA Products & Services, said:
“A competency-based approach requires a shift in how we think about training. For dangerous goods, using real-world scenarios helps build the competencies needed to manage complex operations in a highly regulated environment. We congratulate SAL Logistics Services on being recognized as the best-performing IATA CBTA Center for delivering impactful training and driving continuous improvement."

Through SAL Academy, the company continues to support airlines, freight operators, and logistics stakeholders with globally recognized Dangerous Goods training programs designed to enhance operational safety and regulatory adherence. This milestone reinforces SAL’s broader role in advancing aviation safety standards, supporting industry capability development, and contributing to the Kingdom’s transformation into a global logistics hub.
