Jeddah, November 1, 2024 - SAL Logistics Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Omar bin Talal Hariri as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective from November 1, Hariri brings with him around 20 years of leadership experience in the transportation and logistics sectors, having held several key executive positions.

Previously, Hariri served as CEO of Saudia Cargo, SAL Logistics Services, and most recently as CEO of the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI), where he played a crucial role in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s port infrastructure and services. He was instrumental in developing and executing strategies aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 in all his roles, contributing significantly to the growth of the logistics and transportation sectors in the Kingdom.

In addition, his extensive experience includes serving as CEO of FedEx Express and Vice President of the Commercial Sector at DHL Express in Saudi Arabia.

Hariri currently serves on various boards and committees, including the IATA Consultancy Board, SkyTeam Cargo Committee, Saudi Ground Services, and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Logistics Committee. He also chairs the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance Board.
