SAL Signs Partnership Agreement with Syrian Airlines to Provide Integrated Air Cargo Solutions

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – 15 December 2025: SAL Logistics Services, the national leader in cargo handling, logistics solutions, and supply chain management in the Kingdom, has announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with Syrian Airlines to provide ground handling and air cargo services for its flights at airports across Saudi Arabia under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Mr. Bandar Al-Khorayef.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the “Made in Saudi” exhibition, attended by Mr. Mohammed Nahhas, President, SAL Ground Handling, and Mr. Samah Arabi, CEO of Syrian Airlines.

Under this agreement, SAL will provide an integrated package of cargo and mail services that ensure operational efficiency and safety. These services include the acceptance and storage of cargo and mail, preparation of the necessary shipping and postal documentation, and the transport of cargo and mail to customs facilities and postal centers. SAL will also be responsible for securing shipments at all stages of handling and storage, ensuring they arrive in accordance with the highest safety and operational quality standards.

On this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Nahhas, President, SAL Ground Handling, stated: “Signing this agreement with Syrian Airlines represents an important investment in developing cargo and mail flows between the Kingdom and Syria, and a new step in expanding our network of regional partners in the aviation sector. Through this partnership, we are leveraging SAL’s operational expertise and specialized logistics solutions to deliver high-efficiency services that ensure smooth movement of goods and support the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030.”

For his part, Mr. Samah Orabi, CEO of Syrian Airlines, expressed his pleasure at signing the cooperation memorandum with SAL, noting that: “[This agreement reflects Syrian Airlines’ commitment to developing its air cargo services and enhancing its operational efficiency through strategic partnerships with leading institutions in the logistics sector. We believe that this cooperation with SAL will help improve the smooth flow of cargo and mail and support trade exchange between Syria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the highest safety and quality standards.”

This agreement underscores SAL’s role in connecting trade and cargo corridors between the Kingdom and regional and international markets by expanding its partnership network with airlines and carriers. These partnerships help create smoother cargo and parcel flows through Saudi airports and build an integrated logistics ecosystem that reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a regional gateway and global logistics hub, while accelerating the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 targets to enhance the efficiency and resilience of national supply chains.
