Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, December 24, 2024: SAL Logistics Services, the leading provider of logistics and supply chain solutions in the kingdom, has signed a strategic partnership with the Zakat, tax and customs authority to enhance operational efficiency at 10 key locations in the airports throughout the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The signing ceremony of the agreement, which was held at the headquarter of the Zakat, tax and Customs Authority in Riyadh, was attended by H.E the governor of the Zakat, tax and Customs Authority, Eng. Suhail bin Mohammed Abanomi, Mr. Omar Bin Talal Hariri, CEO of SAL, This strategic partnership between the two sides aims to organize the work of operational tasks in the customs areas of a number of airports in order to provide high-quality services according to the best standards, which contributes to raising the operational efficiency of air customs ports.
Under the agreement, operational and logistical tasks at the designated locations at the airports will be delegated to SAL, which will contribute to improving the efficiency of air cargo handling and cargo clearance. SAL will also be responsible for managing logistics operations, ensuring smooth handling of shipments, clearance work and compliance with regulatory standards.
Mr. Omar bin Talal Hariri, CEO of SAL, stressed the importance of signing this agreement with the Zakat, tax and customs authority to simplify customs operations, pointing out the importance of this cooperation, which enhances SAL's efforts in achieving operational excellence, and supports the kingdom's prominent position in the global logistics scene; as well as the pivotal role played by SAL in supporting the logistics transformation in the kingdom through its terminals, and promoting innovation in addressing the challenges of the main customs points.
